PERSONAL CHOICE PARTY
CHOOSES CANDIDATES AT SATURDAY CONVENTION
Charles Jay nominated for President by Personal Choicers
Mr. Jay, a publicist for professional sports, from Elkhart, Indiana,
received the presidential nomination of the Utah Personal Choice
Party at their State Convention Saturday, May 22.
In his quest for a presidential campaign, Charles found the Utah Personal Choice Party and contacted State
Moderator, Ken Larsen, about being a candidate. In a letter to Ken,
he said, "My pledges, in terms of campaigning, are to bring aboard
an "impact" running mate, to use the campaign as an extension of
what I currently do as an activist against corruption and oversized,
inept government, and to utilize innovative techniques of marketing
and promotion (much of which will be done over the internet) to
spread the message of "personal choice".
Candidate Jay also said, "I firmly believe I can assist in bringing
some visibility to the Personal Choice Party, and would like to
achieve some "fusion" with other parties as well. It is also my
intention to do what is necessary to get on some state ballots."
Dr. Larsen, Utah State Moderator for the Personal Choice Party, said
he is very enthusiastic about having Charles above him on the ticket.
Mr. Jay's Vice-presidential running mate will be decided.
